Motorhome parking at Hamburg Airport – with an XXL space

Looking for motorhome parking at Hamburg Airport, need van parking at Hamburg Airport or travelling with a trailer? Large vehicles need more room than a standard car space. At Your Place you can add an XXL space to your booking for €75.00 – both at our outdoor car park in Norderstedt and with valet parking. The outdoor car park at Aspelohe 42 is 5.9 km from the airport and has no height restriction. Our free shuttle takes care of the journey to the terminal.

Which vehicles is the XXL space for?

We offer the XXL space for minibuses, vans, motorhomes and trailers. Typical examples:

• Motorhome: If you drive to the airport in your motorhome, you leave it with us and switch to the shuttle right at the car park.
• Campervan and panel van conversion: High-roof campervans are often taller than a car. As the outdoor car park has no height restriction, roof height is not an issue there.
• Van: Company vehicle or hire van – your van can be parked at Hamburg Airport on an XXL space too.
• Minibus: handy for families and groups. Please note that a maximum of eight people per booking is possible (details in the FAQs below).
• Car with a trailer: Trailers are also among the vehicles the XXL space is intended for. Please check with us briefly beforehand whether your car and trailer fit on one space.

Important for all large vehicles: under our terms and conditions you need to tell us before handover about any special features or dimensions of your vehicle, such as special conversions, loose vehicle parts or unusual handling. This matters because such details can affect manoeuvring and parking.

How to book an XXL space

1. Enter your travel dates: On our booking page, enter your arrival and departure and the available rates are shown straight away, with prices.
2. Choose a rate: the outdoor car park in Norderstedt with shuttle, or valet parking with drop-off at the terminal. The XXL space is available with both.
3. Add the XXL space: Select the XXL space for €75.00 in the booking form and enter everyone travelling with you. For valet parking, please also state the colour and model of your vehicle.
4. Send your booking: You’ll receive a booking confirmation. There is no prepayment – you pay on site in cash or by German debit card (girocard).

Cancellation is free of charge up to 24 hours before the agreed handover time; if you cancel later, the full booking price is payable under our terms and conditions.

At the car park: handover and shuttle to the terminal

Head for Aspelohe 42, 22848 Norderstedt (plan your route). For our parking service, please allow a buffer of about 45 minutes on top of the time you need at the airport before departure.

At the car park we inspect your vehicle together with you and record its condition in a handover report with photos. You then hand over the keys – at the outdoor car park this is part of the service.

Our free shuttle gets you to the terminal in about 5 minutes. It runs daily from 03:00 to 00:00; if you land after midnight, choose the Flex rate when you book and we’ll collect you after midnight too. While you wait, you can sit in the covered waiting area with seating and a snack machine. When you’re back, we pick you up and take you back to your vehicle.

With valet parking you save yourself the trip to the car park: you hand your vehicle over directly at the terminal of Hamburg Airport and leave the keys there too.

Tips before you set off in your motorhome

A few simple steps at home make the switch more relaxed. These tips are general; your vehicle’s manual tells you what applies to your model.

• Pack flight luggage separately: Keep suitcases and hand luggage ready by the door, so you don’t have to search the storage lockers when you switch to the shuttle.
• Take valuables with you: ID, cash, jewellery and electronics belong in your hand luggage, not in the living area. Under our terms and conditions we are generally not liable for items left inside the vehicle.
• Gas and fridge: Turn off the gas cylinders, switch off the fridge, empty it and leave the door ajar so it doesn’t start to smell.
• Save power: Switch off appliances so the leisure battery isn’t drained unnecessarily while you’re away.
• Water in frosty weather: In the colder months, it’s best to empty the fresh and waste water tanks before you set off.
• Close everything up: Shut windows and roof vents, and retract the awning and step.

FAQs: parking a motorhome, van or trailer

Is there a height restriction at the car park?

No. Our outdoor car park in Norderstedt has no height restriction. For minibuses, vans, motorhomes and trailers, you add an XXL space to your booking.

How much is the XXL space, and which rates is it available with?

The XXL space costs €75.00 and is added to your booking in the booking form. You can choose it with the outdoor car park and with valet parking. The booking page shows the parking price for your travel dates.

How long or wide can my motorhome be?

We don’t give a fixed maximum size here. To avoid surprises on the day, please call us before you book on +49 40 57307641 or message us on WhatsApp, and tell us your vehicle’s length, width and height. We’ll then work out together whether the XXL space is suitable.

I’m coming with a car and trailer. What should I book?

The XXL space is also intended for trailers. Please check with us before you book whether one space is enough for your car and trailer – by phone on +49 40 57307641 or on WhatsApp.

How many people can travel in the shuttle?

Up to four people are included in the parking price. From the fifth person onwards we charge €20.00 per person, or €10.00 per person with valet parking. A maximum of eight people per booking is possible, so please include everyone travelling with you when you book.

Can I cancel free of charge?

Yes, up to 24 hours before the agreed handover time. If you cancel later, the full booking price is payable under our terms and conditions.
