Book Hamburg Airport parking online – step by step

The best time to book Hamburg Airport parking is before you travel – then all that’s left on the day of your flight is the drive to us. At Your Place the whole booking takes place online via our booking form, and you only pay once you’re on site. This guide takes you through every step, from entering your first date to handing over your car.

What to have ready before you book

• Your travel dates – when you drop off your car and when you pick it up again – with approximate times
• Your flight details for the outbound and return flights, such as the flight number and landing time
• The number of people travelling with you in the shuttle
• For valet parking, also the colour and model of your car

How to book, step by step

Step 1: Enter your travel dates

Open our booking page and enter your travel dates. You’ll see straight away which rates are available for your dates and what they cost, so you can compare both options side by side.

Step 2: Choose your rate

You can choose between two options:

• Outdoor car park Norderstedt: an enclosed car park at Aspelohe 42, 22848 Norderstedt, 5.9 km from the airport. The free shuttle runs daily from 03:00 to 00:00 and takes you to the terminal in about 5 minutes. No height restriction; keys are handed over on site.
• Valet parking – drop-off at the terminal: you hand your car over directly at the terminal of Hamburg Airport and save yourself the drive to the car park. Here, too, you hand over your keys.

Step 3: Add passengers and extras

Enter everyone travelling with you. Up to four people are included in the parking price; from the fifth person onwards it costs €20.00 per person, or €10.00 with valet parking. A maximum of eight people per booking is possible.

In the booking form you can also add extra services:

• Flex rate (€9.99): we collect you after midnight too. Without the Flex rate, shuttle journeys between 00:00 and 03:00 are charged at €35.00 per transfer in accordance with our terms and conditions.
• XXL space (€75.00): for minibuses, vans, motorhomes and trailers.
• Vehicle cleaning: we clean your car while you’re away – the booking form lists this as “Fahrzeugreinigung” – in three levels for €99.99, €149.99 or €199.99.

If you drive an electric car, we can charge it for you while you’re away for a flat €49.99.

Step 4: Send your booking and get your confirmation

Finally, enter your contact details and send your booking. No prepayment is required – you pay on site in cash or by German debit card (girocard). You’ll then receive a booking confirmation. It’s a good idea to check the date, times and number of people straight away, and to have the confirmation to hand on the day you travel.

Tip: book faster with a customer account

If you fly from Hamburg regularly, a customer account is well worth having. It lets you keep track of your bookings, receive parking discounts and book more quickly next time. Go to customer login.

Changing, extending or cancelling your booking

Changing your travel dates

If your flight has been rescheduled, please let us know straight away, and no later than one hour before the originally agreed time. Simply call us on +49 40 57307641 or send us a message on WhatsApp. If changes reach us too late, our terms and conditions entitle us to charge reasonable compensation for the extra work involved.

Extending your parking

Staying longer? You can book an extension yourself via our website. In accordance with our terms and conditions, each further day or part of a day costs €25.00. If your flight is delayed by more than two hours, an additional daily rate of €25.00 is charged automatically.

Cancelling

Cancellation is free of charge up to 24 hours before the agreed handover time. If you cancel later, we charge the full amount of the booking in accordance with our terms and conditions.

On the day: getting here and handing over your car

For the outdoor car park, drive to Aspelohe 42 in Norderstedt (plan your route) and allow about 45 minutes as a buffer for the parking service. On site, we inspect your car together with you and record its condition in a handover report with photos. You then hand over your keys, and the shuttle takes you to the airport in about 5 minutes. Until it leaves, you can wait in the covered waiting area with seating and a snack machine. When you return, we collect you and take you back to your car.

With valet parking, you hand your car over directly at the terminal of Hamburg Airport.

Frequently asked questions about booking online

Do I have to pay when I book online?

No. There’s no prepayment at Your Place: you book online and pay on site in cash or by German debit card (girocard).

How do I know my booking has gone through?

Once you’ve sent it, you’ll receive a booking confirmation. Under our terms and conditions, the contract comes into effect with this confirmation, or at the latest when you hand over your car and keys.

Can I change my travel dates after booking?

Yes. Please let us know about any changes as early as possible, and no later than one hour before the originally agreed time – ideally by phone on +49 40 57307641. You can also book an extension yourself via our website.

Until when can I cancel free of charge?
